CTP2 Cool Tube Preamp – Electronics

Built around12AU7, a dual triode vacuum tube, Takamine CTP2 "Cool Tube" preamp delivers warm, harmonic-rich natural sound that no other on-board preamps can offer. Thanks to new and unique low-voltage driver circuit designed by Takamine, the tube does not glow or radiate high level of heat that affects the delicate tone woods.

Powered by 4 AA batteries, CTP2 features 3-band shelving graphic EQ, tonality control, an AUX input jack with independent level control and a built-in chromatic tuner. The mid-range is shaped using a semi-parametric EQ section comprised of a rotary knob used to choose the midpoint of the midrange frequency.

An auxiliary input jack allows you to add an additional pickup of your choice, sound hole pickup or soundboard transducer. The AUX control knob is used to blend the add-on signal with Takamine Palathetic pickup.

With Takamine "Cool Tube" CTP2 preamp, the playing will be hot, the tone will be warm, and the tube always remains cool!
